Hiring: HR Business Partner/HR Manager
By Invite Only is looking for an experienced HRBP/HR Manager with talent acquisition / recruitment experience to join our growing and dynamic team. Objectives:
- Design, strategise and implement HR policies, programs and plans to improve the team’s engagement and in turn improve team’s efficiency and motivation at the workplace
- Be the mediator and advocate between management and the team in order to create a win-win for both parties.
- Engage senior management to support organisation development and change interventions.
Scope:
Management:
- Leading the HR department; guiding, mentoring and managing all direct reports ensuring their success in their role as well as their growth within the Company.
- Provides HR policy guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning and assist in developing contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal partners as needed/required
Hiring and Recruitment
- Assist hiring managers with end-to-end recruitment by finding, attracting and identifying quality applicants from various recruitment platforms, vetting and interviewing applicants when necessary and guiding hiring managers throughout the hiring and consideration process to build a team with a diverse skill-set and with team mates who are a great fit for the company.
- Review/audit the company’s existing onboarding process, tweaking or improving its effectiveness and then implementing the program for new recruits that is in line with the company culture and values.
- Creating and executing an effective off-boarding program and critically analysing and monitoring the turnover within the company on behalf of the management team to ensure healthy manpower.
- Working with the retail team department in creating a great onboarding/training induction program to ensure success of candidates during their vocation in the company
- Assist team members with change management if any
HR Processes:
- Audit our existing 360 performance appraisals to ensure it is fair and representative of the team’s performance
- Lead the HR department in rolling out yearly 360 appraisals as well as guide managers on the appraisal process to ensure fair and representative scoring of their team’s performance.
- Work with the HR Executive, leading and guiding her on matters of payroll and compensation to ensure that the company meets statutory requirements and adhere to the employment act
- Review, update or create new policies in the Company Employee Handbook regarding HR policies and procedures and to ensure effective dissemination of new updates within the company in a timely manner
Team Bonding, Learning and Development:
- Work with the HR Executive to design an effective staff engagement plan and to facilitate opportunities between departments, within individual teams or the company as a whole to improve their communication, collaboration and teamwork within the approved budgets
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
Employer Branding:
- Work with the marketing team on employer branding strategies that would help attract new and retain current team members
- Work with the marketing team to enhance and improve our LinkedIn and Glassdoor company profile pages, or other platforms, to engage with potential job seekers or existing team mates.
- Assist the marketing team on the brand’s social media channels to promote or showcase the company’s work culture as part of employer branding
Compensation and Benefits:
- Assist and advise the management team in crafting a more robust compensation and benefits program/package including medical, health insurance, workman injury compensation for existing and future team members to ensure that the company is competitive within the market
- Create, execute and manage an Employee Recognition or Rewards program within the company
- Research and provide Global Salary Benchmarking for annual compensation exercises including salary reviews, increments, promotions, and performance bonus if applicable
Requirement:
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in the HR field
- 2+ years experience as a HR Business Partner or equivalent role with team management experience a plus
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organisational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and respective employment laws.
- Excellent communication skills and people skills
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organisation's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
